Summary
The frontispiece depicts the goddess Iris, who is shown with fairy wings standing before a rainbow. She is set within an architectural frame which is flanked by garlands and figures wearing classical drapery. A similar frame and figures flank the illustrations on the title page which depict landscape scenery of the island
