Item has a penciled label on its verso, however the watercolor has been solidly glued to a larger sheet of paper and the writing cannot be deciphered. Item is unsigned Provenance: Item has been added to an extra-illustrated copy of Mackenzie's Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. For volume and provenance information see entry under "Anonymous. Newcastle eccentrics." Subject: Pictured is a house or series of houses with red roofs, a fence running behind the house and back into a wooded area, a watermill, and a dirt road. The drawing has been inserted into a printed text to illustrate page 319 of a monograph on Newcastle. The text is describing the boundaries of All Saints' Parish, Newcastle and the area pictured in this watercolor is probably a landmark for those boundaries This record contains unverified data from old cards and may contain incorrect or incomplete text.
