Formerly ascribed to L. Apuleius Madaurensis; now believed to be of much later date, probably a Latin compilation of the fifth century. Based on the works of Dioscorides and Pliny. cf. p. xix Nos. 68-75 omitted in paging of facsimile "Dedicated and presented to the president and members of the Roxburghe club by Edward George Spencer-Churchill. 1925."
