Lacks last leaf with colophon (description from BM 15th cent.) Initials provided in alternate red and blue. A few early manuscript notes and brackets in brown ink and a distich on title page verso with title "vincent: Distichũ"; leaves a1 to P9 numbered by hand in upper corner of each recto, reading 1-327 (leaves "20" and "22" are not numbered). Contemporary Italian sheepskin binding, blind tooled, with 5 quadrangular ropework knot stamps in central panel, S-tool border and intricate ropework border on both covers; crisscross stamp on spine; also a later spine label in paper with inscription of author, title, imprint, and shelfmarks "4966", and "714" (in a different ink); inscription on lower edge "opusc:la D. Bernardi" reading from spine to fore-edge; original vellum pastedowns are now free; some worming; rebacked; in a tailored box. Bookplate of E. P. Jacobsen
