8 p. cut, affecting text W. Foster, a former owner of the volume, identifies the author as John Bradshaw, vicar of St. Paul's, Bedford (rector from 1638 to 1640 according to Venn's Alumni Cant.) However, on p. 151 the author speaks of himself living in eastern Sussex in 1662 and for several years before; there was a John Bradshaw, pastor of Etchingham, Sussex (ODNB, under William Bradshaw), who published some religious tracts in the mid-seventeenth century Liberty of conscience ...
