Manuscript notes on front free end-paper and on slips pasted to front and back fly-leaves. Brown calf binding, gold-tooled, with leather labels on spine lettered in gilt: 'Brome's Plays' and 'Vol. 1.'. Provenance: inscriptions: 'J. P. Andrews'; 'J. Mitford, 1835', and 'Corns. Paine jr., 1867'; bookplates of Paine (motto "audax et prudens"); and Thomas Jefferson McKee (motto "meum et tuum")
