Title page, torn, has been repaired with loss of manuscript notes. Manuscript finding notes in brown ink with brackets and manicules; sets of manuscript notes in verse in same hand on title page and last leaf, one of them with title "Hor: Ad Lolium ex Epla xix ..." Binding has Hugh Perkin's crest gold tooled on covers, and gauffered edges. On verso of last leaf, autograph "[?] Démeuze" and "Pour mes amis comme pour moy" along with manuscript verse; bookplate of Hugh Perkins; provenance "at Radcliffe's Sale Novbr 1858 ..." signed "H.P." with notes on front flyleaf; purchased in 1916
