Summary
He is sorry that Liverpool did not meet her expectations, but he is pleased with W. Knight's conduct towards her. He is also pleased to find that she has made engagements at Birmingham and hopes that will turn out better than Liverpool. Asks if she agrees that W. Knight's Farmer Ashfield [in Speed the plow] a very fine piece of acting. He was at the Mountaineers the same night she was. Gives a description of "our new theatre" which he does not like as much as the old one. Describes various performances he has seen there, including Cato. He also describes an altercation between an actor and two gentlemen hissing in the audience during a "very dull farce."
