Contains speeches delivered in the House of Commons, February-March 1676/77, and the King's message to Parliament, April 11, 1677; letters to Thomas Smith (two printed by Aubrey in his Letters ... ), Sir R. Cotton (his brother), Walter Chetwynd, Sir Philip Meadows, Sir Thomas Proby, Sir Philip Wodehouse; and several poems probably by Cotton, including a pastoral allegory and several eclogues and quotations from classical authors
