Tabular listings of plays performed at Drury Lane Theatre during Garrick's management, recording the evening's bill, with indications of number of performances, benefits, etc. Also includes notes on first appearances of actors and actresses, comments on various plays and performances, and accounts of other unusual events (descriptions of theater riots, royal visits, etc.). (1-3) also indicate estimated house revenue for each night. Seasons covered: (1) 1747-1749; (2) 1750-1754; (3) 1755-1760; (4) 1762-1764; (5) 1763-1764; (6) 1768-1771; (7) 1769-1770; (8) 1770-1771; (9) 1771-1772; (10) 1772-1773; (11) 1773-1774; (12) 1774-1775; (13) 1775-1776; (14) September-December 1776. Some overlap in content in (4) and (5)

Popularly known as the Cross-Hopkins diary or Cross-Hopkins diaries (1-3) in the hand of Richard Cross; (5) and (7-14) in the hand of William Hopkins (covers of 7-14 signed with initials W.H.) A third hand appears in the second half of (3) and in (4) and (6); tentatively attributed to John Brownsmith, under-prompter at Drury Lane. (Pedicord, H.W.
