Imperfect: wanting leaves A1 (privilege leaf), 'A2' (dedication), and V4 final blank). Brown panelled calf binding, tooled in blind and gilt, with gilt coat of arms on both covers: 'Dns Edoardus Dering Miles et Baronettus'. Dering's manuscript markings: systematic underscoring and use of several marginal signs (in place of manicules) in red ink. Provenance: inscription on leaf V3v: 'Phillip leson his bok'; bookplate of 'Frances Mary Richardson Currer' with another bookplate pasted on top of it: 'Sir Edward Cholmy. Dering'.
