Summary
Delius discusses the chronology of Shakespeare's plays, providing a list with conjectural dates. He has become skeptical of two popular theories which he once cherished - that Shakespeare rewrote certain plays and that there are traces of an anonymous hand in some of his acknowledged plays, which were later completed or altered by Shakespeare. In (3) Delius states that he has no objection to [Furnivall's] printing King Edward III, and asserts that J.P. Collier has adopted many of Delius's corrections without acknowledgment in his edition of this play
