Emanuel Harford was a non-conformist minister who was ejected from Upton Noble, Somerset and then appointed co-pastor with Matthew Warren at Paul's Meeting House, Taunton Transcribed without Hartford's knowledge as mentioned in the preliminary Epistle by someone who is known only by the initials "I. C." Preceding the main text and following the title page is an Epistle from the transcriber headed "The Epistle to my Mother in Law" signed "Nov 5 1691 I. C."
