Consists of an illustrated title page; 49 portraits of Protestant Reformers and a few others, such as Erasmus of Rotterdam and Savonarola, each with Latin verses beneath; and a final leaf of verses with a depiction of the sun and moon circling the earth Most leaves are signed with the monogram of Hendrik Hondius the Elder Entirely engraved This set of engravings was later used to illustrate: Jacob Verheiden, Praestantium aliquot theologorum effigies (The Hague, 1602 and later eds.)
