Summary
Depicts the second battle of Höchstädt, also known as the battle of Blenheim. A sea of men and horses fills the image, trailing off as far as the eye can see. Throughout the image certain people and places are labeled with numbers or letters, corresponding to two keys inscribed in the lower left and right corners of the plate. Two oval portraits, one of the Duke of Marlborough and one of Eugene of Savoy, are held up in the sky above the fray by allegorical figures. The portrait on the left is labeled "I. Marlbourg" and on the right "Eug. de Savoye."
