Contemporary copies of two letters, from the Privy Council, Court at Greenwich, to Henry Carey, Baron Hunsdon (December 4, 1588) and from Henry Carey, Baron Hunsdon, Court at Richmond, to the bishop of Norwich (Edmund Scrambler), Henry Cromwell, Thomas Gawdy, Dru Drury, and Nathaniel Bacon (December 31, 1588). Both letters order investigation into dispensation of money collected in Norfolk for "the buying of armor & other pubick servic[es]" which appears not to have been used for its intended purpose
