Requests that Reed get the account of the new tragedy, which appeared in the St. James' Chronicle, in the theatrical article of the European magazine. Malone disparages critics of of various publications, claiming that they have "a particular spleen to Mr. Johnson and are so illiterate as probably not to have read one of the plays of Shakespeare."
