Summary
A short letter referring to the death of Winter's son, Arthur. Massett asks Winter to "put this or something like it in Sundays paper" and to "accept the lines now sent." He only found out about Winter's loss one week ago. With accompanying four stanza poem entitled "Lines to Willie Winter on the death of his son" by Stephen Massett. First line: Would I could tell thee how I miss. Both items on letterhead of the Fifth Avenue Hotel. The letterhead of the letter has been crossed out and addressed from the New York Hotel
