Bird's eye view of London as it was in 1593, with Gray's Inn and Islington to the west, East Smithfield to the east, and the Thames and Southwark to the south. Title in scroll with Tudor Royal Arms to the left and London City Arms to the right. In the left and right margins, the coats of arms of the twelve most influential and wealthy city guilds known as the 'Great Liveries' (mercers, grocers, drapers, fishmongers, goldsmiths, skinners, merchant taylors, haberdashers, salters, ironmongers, vintners, and clothworkers). List of major streets and buildings in lower margin with references to letters and numbers on the map (a-z and 1-22)
