The first word of title in Greek characters With an engraved printer's device on general title page and internal title page With a frontispiece portrait of the author (A1v) signed: Lombart sculpsit londini Printer's name from Wing CD Leaves 2N6 is cancelled; leaf 3A1 is blank except for signature-mark "Aaa"; leaf 3a4 is blank "Apocalypsis: or, The revelation of certain notorious advancers of heresie: ... translated out of the Latine by J.D." (Wing R1944), a translation by John Davies of the anonymous "Apocalypsis insignium aliquot haeresiarcharum", has separate title page dated 1655, and separate pagination beginning on 3B1r The first edition of "Apocalypsis" (London, 1655) was published as part 2 of the second edition of Ross's "Pansebeia" (Wing R1972). It was translated by John Davies from "Apocalypsis insignium aliquot haeresiarcharvm" (Lugduni-Batavorum, 1608), which in turn was from a Dutch original, "Growelen der vornemsten hooft-ketteren" (Leyden: H.L. van Haestens, 1607) attributed to Hendrick Lodevik van Haestens.
