Attached to (1), a clipping of Pollock's review of Winter's reminiscences of Sir Henry Irving, which appeared as part of a seriew in Collier's national weekly. (2) concerns Irving and his portrayal of Shylock. In (3), Pollock praises Winter's chapters on Fechter and Bougham, mentions Dr. Furness, and asks Winter if he has seen "the latest Shakespeare absurdity - a volume by M.
