Please consult Curator for assistance 44 watercolors, 4 pen and pencil sketches Plays include The Lancers, adapted from Fils de Famille of Bayard and Desnoyers by Leicester Vernon (Nov. 1, 1853), no.1a and b; The miller and his men, by John Maddison Morton, a pantomime based on the melodrama by Issac Pocock (Dec. 30, 1853), no. 2a-d, possibly 3a-c; Bluebeard, pantomime by J. M. Morton (Jan. 8, 1855), no. 3d, 10a; Shakespeare's Tempest, no.6a, 9d; John Palgrave Simpson's Schamyl, the warrior prophet, a French adaptation (Nov. 11, 1854), no. 7c-9c, 10b, etc "Collet and Collis", "Cormack" are written on costume sketches, no.7a & b. The three were actors at the Princess at that time (cf. playbills for April 24, April 30 and Dec. 30, 1853) On no.9a is written "OBryn." Oscar Byrne was ballet-master at the Princess at this time No. 15 is a portrait of "Ch. Fechtor", unquestionably Charles Albert Fechter as Othello (Princess, 1861)
