John Hughes's stage version, a reprint of the 1718 edition (Folger card catalog) There exist two editions of the 1723 Hamlet. In this edition ('A'), leaf A4v, line 23 reads "compulsative"; leaf B1r, line 9 reads "Corse"; and leaf H3r, line 29 ends "Ditch-". Edition 'B' is a 1730 pirated line-by-line reprint, cataloged separately, identified by different readings on those pages. (See Dawson, G.E.
