One of three Tonson issues in 1734. In this issue the title page ornament is a portrait of Shakespeare in an oval, the initial N on p. [3] is surrounded by a trophy and a basket of fruit, p. 96 has a large tail-piece with Mercury's head, "by Mr." on t.p. is in italics, while "William Shakespear" is in roman type, and the headline on p. 5, reads "Ricaard." Engraved frontispiece lettered: P. Fourdrinier scul., v. 5, p. 289 Signatures: A-D¹²
