Imperfect ; lacking title pages and several plays (Antony and Cleopatra, Cymbeline, Julius Caesar, Henry V, Macbeth, Measure for measure, Merry wives of Windsor, Much ado about nothing, Timon of Athens, Troilus and Cressida). Some leaves unopened. Disbound copy in 30 folders, previously housed by the assembler in 15 boxes; each folder contains text block and prints, including portraits of Shakespeare and Shakespearean actors, views of locations referred to in Shakespeare's plays, and illustrations of characters and scenes from other editions of Shakespeare's works; presumably compiled for a never-completed extra-illustrated copy
