Macer-Wright of The Westminster Gazette, and the editor of a new paper. 3 of the letters to Shaw bear his replies. The letters discuss questions of theatrical interest, such as the writing and producing of plays, including Shakespeare's. The postcard to Mrs. Bland (2) touches on the Bacon-Shakespeare debate and has a parody (in her hand?) beginning "The picture that has here been put"; two letters to O. Edwards and W. Poel (9 and 12) discuss King Richard III and a rehearsal of Macbeth. The visiting card (5) bears a note of Hannen Swaffer. Also, a poem written on the occasion of Ellen [Terry's] "golden wedding" as an actress, [1906], beginning, "Oh, Ellen was it kind of Fate." Poem listed in Folger card index of first lines
