Summary
Simpson writes that he is forwarding to Pettigrew, as a member of the Committee for the purchase of Shakespeare's house, a copy of a letter he addressed to Lord Morpeth, regarding a series of pictures by Henry Singleton illustrative of Shakespeare's plays that are now at Mr. Hogarth's 5 Haymarket. Simpson's copy of this letter to Lord Morpeth is on the second leaf of the letter to Pettigrew. It is dated March 1, 1848 and addressed from Bramley, Guildford
