The volume includes copies of the wills of Stephen Cockin, parson of Theydon Mount, October 15, 1601 and of Thomas Cheveley of Theydon Garnon, Gent., April 29, 1608, followed by inventories of their possessions; memoranda of rents from property in Northampton, Ankerwyke and Wyrardisbury (Wraysbury), Buckinghamshire, Egham, Sy and Thaxted, Broxted and Theydon Mount, Essex; inventories; a copy of the judgment delivered by the court of Exchequer concerning the dispute between Edmund Kedermister, Esq., querentes and Maurice Hale and Richard Baven, deforciant over the enclosing of land in the manor and parish of Datchet, Buckinghamshire, November 15, 1600; and an outline for the proposed order of baronetage. Also, the accounts of the disbursements (continued at the back) and receipts of Sir Thomas Smyth, 1633-1641
