General notes
A translation of two articles from "Le cabinet jesuitique" (1678): "Les secrets des jesuites", and "Advis secrets de la Societé de Jesu". The latter is a translation of "Monita secreta societatis Jesu", authorship of which is attributed to Hieronim Zahorowski. Cf. Reusch, C. Index der verbotenen Bücher, 1885, v. 2, p. 280-281 ; Encyklopedyja Powszechna The reference to the version "began by Dr. Oats" is to his translation of "Instruttione a' prencipi della maniera con la quale si governano li patdri giesuiti", published in 1679 as "An exact discovery of the mystery of iniquity as it is now in practice amongst the Jesuits and other their emissaries"
