Letters, postcards, clippings, pamphlets and other material compiled by Samuel Timmins. (1-21) Letters and postcards written to Timmins and W.H. Wyman. Correspondents include: C.M. Ingleby, Ignatius Donnelly, W.H. Wyman, and George James. The letters primarily discuss the Bacon-Shakespeare question and Donnelly's cipher. (5) From Ignatius Donnelly to Timmins includes a photograph portrait of Donnelly. (6) is a letter-less envelope from Wyman to Timmins. (11) Includes a ticket for "Samuel Timmins and Lady" to a meeting of the Bacon Society at the Westminster Town Hall on April 17, 1888. (15) Includes a clipping concerning the mathemethician George Parker Bidder's examination of Donnelly's cipher. (16) Includes a newspaper clipping from the Daily inter ocean with a cartoon depicting Donnelly as a pig. (21) Consists of sixteen letters pinned together from George James (to Timmins?) and entitled "A 'Bacon' Lunatic." (22) Is a printed circular letter from Mrs. Henry Pott, dated January 30, 1889, disparaging the creation and use of facsimile copies of the first folio for cryptographers, since the process eliminates valuable manuscript marks. (23) A printed broadside containing "All Hail to the Shrine," a song by J.E. Carpenter criticising Donnelly. (24) A printed advertisment of R.S. Peale & Co. Publishers for The great cryptogram by Ignatius Donnelly featuring excerpts from reviews by mathematicians, authors, senators, and journalists. (26) Notebook of copies of letters, 1864-1866, from Nathaniel Holmes and W.H. Smith to James Spedding. (27) 26 newspaper clippings pertaining to Donnelly. (28) Two copies of Bacon out-Shakespeared! by A. Pimpleton Spoffkins, London: T. Rodd, 1887. (29) The true cryptogram of Francis Bacon, by L.H.
