The Rhine, lettered in l. corner 'der Rhein', flows between hills. In distance l. a town on the river is marked 'Caub', and a castle on an island 'Pfaltz'. A hill on r. crowned with a towered castle is marked 'Ober Wesel', and below on the river bank is a church in a village. Two square sail barges on the river.--From Pennington
