Summary
In the top right are four battle scenes in which Frederick I of Bohemia was defeated: the Battle of the White Mountain near Prague, the Battle at Wimpfen, at Darmstadt, and at Höchst. In the right foreground is an allegorical figure of time, and on the left Ernst von Mansfeld, Hans von Obentraut, and Christian II von Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Wolfenbüttel (all wearing upper-body armor and plumed helmets) balancing a large letter Y on a Z and a round sphere, with Frederick standing on top of the Y.--Adapted from the British Museum
