Summary
The writer of this diary was one of a company that embarked at Rye. He belonged to "the Religion" i.e. was not a Catholic, and was a royalist in his sympathies; he was chiefly interested in the antiquities of the places he saw. In his reports he mentions a few expatriate Englishmen whom he met and includes: Breve regguaglie delle cose piu notabile del regno di Sicilia, p. 293, and Della maniera che vienne governata la Sicilia, p. 306.
