Bust, half left, in oval. He has long hair, a turned-up moustache and imperial; and wears a dark doublet with a white collar and black cloak. Behind, is a coast scene with a small merchant ship of the pinnace type. A small boat with six oars is approaching the shore. On the right is a fortified watch tower, with crates and barrels, marked I.S. on the beach.--From Pennington
