Twenty-seven mostly autograph letters signed and 4 autograph letters incomplete. Correspondents: Thomas Campbell and Charles and Frances Anne Kemble. Discusses Fanny Kemble's acting roles and mentions several women writers of the day. Recalls meeting Sir Walter Scott, the only one, she supposes, who could be placed next to Shakespeare for the number, variety and beauty of his creations (p. 67). Describes her visit to Goethe's daughter-in-law, Ottilie von Goethe, in Weimar (p. 87). Asks the approval and assistance of the Kemble family in writing a memoir of Mrs. Siddons (p. 91) Reminds Campbell of a conversation in which he had told her he had little time to write the life of Mrs. Siddons and would consider making a "joint concern of the work" (p. 97)
