Summary
This manuscript has been bound in modern calf so it is difficult to be certain of the original order. As it is now, it commences with 21 leaves containing 381 pen and ink drawings to versos and rectos. The drawings are in annotated with family names and occasionally in trick. These are followed by the text which lists various families and includes details of their crests. It mentions numerous figures including, William Harborne (c. 1542-1617), merchant and Ambassador to Turkey; Sir Henry Cromwell, alias Williams (died 1604) Knight of the Shire for Huntingdonshire and a grandfather of Oliver Cromwell; and other family names, but also included The Barber Surgeons, and others. As with the BL copy, it is indexed at the end. Several dates occur within text between 1560s and 1580s
