(2), dated Paris, 9 janvier 1845, consists of a thank you note from Solange Sand followed by a note from George Sand. (3), dated Paris, 9 juin, '47 and addressed to "Mon cher Hamlet," concerns the marriage of her daughter (Solange) and mentions her desire to dedicate her next novel (i.e. Le château des désertes) to Macready. (4) refers to rehearsals of her translation of As you like it ("Comme il vous plaira") at the Comédie Française; she hopes Macready will attend a rehearsal so she can benefit from his opinion
