History: Design is taken from an early engraving used as the frontispiece to Kirkman's The wits; or Sport upon sport, London, 1662 and 1672. FSL has a copy of the print, separate from the 1672 volume, in ART Vol. d82, no. 15a Provenance: Item has been inlaid after the contents list in volume 1 of an extra illustrated copy of Knight's Pictorial edition of Shakespeare.
