Warrant authorizes Sir Robert Howard (as Auditor of the Receipt) to draw up an order for 3,000 pounds to be paid to Baptist May (the Keeper of his Majesty's Privy Purse) for the procurement of gold for Charles II's use of the coins as healing medals in the ceremony of touching for the king's evil (scrofula). The warrant is signed by Charles II's five Treasury Commissioners
